Valerie Gleeson Development Bursary

The Valerie Gleeson Development Bursary is awarded annually to a recent Fine Art Graduate from the Crawford College of Art & Design. The Bursary supports an emerging artist to move his/her practice in a new direction, and supports the research, development and/or realisation of new art work.

Valerie graduated from Crawford College of Art & Design in 1997. Valerie was an artist, a member of Cork Printmakers, and a member of the Governing Body of MTU (formerly Cork Institute of Technology) when she passed away on April 23rd 2014. In her memory, a fund was endowed to Munster Technological University from which an annual Development Bursary is awarded to a recent graduate in Fine Art MTU Crawford College of Art & Design.
